Coming to the Netherlands
By plane:
There are two airports with easy connections to Delft:
Schiphol (AMS): approx. 40 mins by direct train.
Rotterdam The Hague (RTM): approx. 40 mins by two buses.
Another possibility is Eindhoven airport (2,5 hrs by train and bus).
By train:
Itineraries and tickets can be found on www.nsinternational.com and www.bahn.com. Train stations with international connections are e.g. Rotterdam CS and Amsterdam CS.
Local transport
Public transport from the major train stations and airports to Delft train station can be planned using www.ns.nl/en or www.9292.nl/en.
One can also use the NS app or 9292 app, see www.ns.nl/en/travel-information/ns-app and www.9292.nl/en/about-9292/services/mobile.
Train tickets can be bought at vendor machines at the stations, online at www.ns.nl/en and via the app. Bus tickets can be bought on the bus.
Alternatively, one can use 'OVpay': check in with your debit or credit card (Maestro, V PAY, Mastercard, Visa), for bus and train, see www.ns.nl/en/travel-information/check-in-check-out/debit-card.
From Delft train station it is possible to walk to the city centre or take a taxi.
From the city centre to TU Delft campus it is approximately 20 mins by foot. Moreover, there are bus connections and some hotels offer a bike rental service for an ultimate Dutch experience.
